TextBehind Mail Services

Effective December 2, 2019 and going forward from that date:

Blair County Prison has a new Inmate Mail Management Provider called TextBehind. Going forward this facility will only accept inmate personal mail that has been processed by TextBehind. An inmate's family and friends can download a free mobile app from www.TextBehind.com 

The TextBehind app will allow friends and family to communicate with inmates thru text messages with Photos, Personalized Greeting Cards and Doodles4Kids. The public may find out more information about TextBehind immediate communications by visiting their website www.TextBehind.com or by e-mailing info@TextBehind.com 

Friend and Family who choose not to use the TextBehind electronic service must send their communications to the TextBehind mailing address to be photo copied and forwarded to the Blair County Prison.  The address is as follows:  Inmate Name, Inmate ID Number; Blair County Prison; P.O. Box 247; Phoenix, MD 21131.

TextBehind is used for Personal mail and communications Only. After December 2, 2019, any personal mail sent directly to the Blair County Prison will not be accepted.

Privileged Communications and Publications will be sent directly to the prison:  Inmate Name, Inmate ID Number; Blair County Prison; 419 Market Square Alley; Hollidaysburg, PA  16648

As a result of this change, the Blair County Prison will cease accepting Money Orders for inmates accounts effective Monday November 25, 2019.  Friends and Family who wish to add money to inmates account must make a deposit either at the JailATM Kiosk in the lobby of the Blair County Prison or by visiting their website https://jailatm.com
