Voter Statistics for Special Election

Pursuant to Section 3146.8 of the Election Code, the Board of Elections will meet at 7:00 a.m. local prevailing time on Election Day, March 17, 2026, to pre-canvass absentee and mail-in ballots ONLY A CANDIDATE OR CANDIDATE'S REPRESENTATIVE AND ONE REPRESENTATIVE FROM ANY POLITICAL PARTY HAVING A CANDIDATE ON THE BALLOT ARE PERMITTED TO ATTEND. Those attending the pre-canvassing from 7:00 a.m. on March 17, 2026, shall be required to sign an acknowledgement of the requirement to maintain all information confidential until after the polls close.

Pursuant to Section 3050 of the Election Code, the Board of Elections will meet at 10:00 a.m. local prevailing time on Friday, March 20, 2026, to canvass provisional ballots. ONLY A CANDIDATE OR CANDIDATE’S REPRESENTATIVE AND ONE REPRESENTATIVE FROM ANY POLITICAL PARTY HAVING A CANDIDATE ON THE BALLOT ARE PERMITTED TO ATTEND.

Election Dates - Special Election March 17th

Tuesday, March 17 - Special Election in the 79th District - All registered voters are able to cast a ballot who live in the 79th Legislative District. Polls are open from 7am - 8pm. Voter Registration office at 279 Loop Road, Hollidaysburg will be open from 7am-8pm to receive mail-in ballots from the voter.

Campaign Finance Documents & Forms

Act 2020-15, which was signed into law on April 20, 2020, allows for unsworn declarations for campaign finance reports and campaign finance statements filed by political committees, candidates for public office and contributing lobbyists.

Filers must physically sign and date their report or statement cover sheet. Reports can be emailed to sseymour@blairco.org by 11:59pm on the date due or dropped off at the Election office by 4:00pm on the due date. These forms can be found below:
