PLASTICS PROCESSING EQUIPMENT FOR SALE

The Blair County Department of Solid Waste & Recycling welcomes you to this equipment sale webpage. Please view the various links provided, to take you to additional information about the package of plastics processing equipment being sold.

This equipment was purchased in 1997 under what was intended to be a public-private partnership. Unfortunately, the equipment was never put into use. The equipment largely remains in the original crates in which it was shipped in 1997. For display purposes, beginning in December, 2011, we have removed the stretch/shrink wrap that has covered the equipment, so that those who wish to see the equipment in-person can have a clear view of what is being sold. Until its recent removal for display, the equipment was kept in a locked trailer.

The equipment display can be seen, by appointment only, at 1001 Loop Road, Hollidaysburg, PA 16648, between the hours of 8:30 AM and 1:00 PM.  To schedule an appointment, contact the Blair County Department of Solid Waste & Recycling at 814-696-4620, or email tstacey@blairco.org. A confirmation email will be sent to you to confirm your appointment to view the equipment. The equipment will not and may not be dismantled in any manner for inspection, as we must maintain its “as is” condition for all bidders.

From a telephone conversation with a representative of Gala Industries, Inc., in October, 2011, we understand that replacement parts for Gala-made equipment remain available.
