The Regular Township meeting held on December 6, 2011 at 7:00 pm was called to order and opened with the Pledge of Allegiance.
Roll Call of Officers
All Board members were present; Sec-Treasurer Beverly Henderson, Solicitor Frederick Gieg, Engineer Richard Bulger, Zoning Officer Kevin Cramer were present.
Minutes
A motion was made by George Henry and 2nd by James Grove to accept the meeting minutes of November 1, 2011 and November 15, 2011 meeting and the Treasurer’s Report for the month of November was presented. The motion passed unanimously.
Announcements – Special meeting will be held on December 15, 2011 at 3:00 PM to adopt the 2012 Budget and reenact ½% Real Estate Transfer Tax.
Old Business:
James Faith Extension of Time Request. The extension of time will start from 1/3/12 to April 4, 2012 with a 92 day extension. Based on Engineer Bulger’s recommendation, the problem seems to be with receiving DEP Permits, a motion was made by James Grove and 2nd by George Henry to accept the extension of time request.
The motion passed unanimously.
Other Old Business Engineer Bulger reported that at the last meeting we adopted the new Flood Plain Ordinance to be effective on March 2, 2012, was sent to PSATS with satisfactory results.
Engineer Bulger also reported that he talked to Mr. DuPont off Woodlawn Terrance and he stated that in large rain events Mr. Bulger as well as Paul Singer (Twp Foreman) is to keep their eye on the runoff.
New Business:
Reappointment of Dick Furmanchik to handle CDBG Fund for 2012 a motion was made by George Henry and 2nd by James Grove to reappoint Dick Furmanchik to handle the 2012 CDBG Funds with the fee of 11.5%. The motion passed unanimously.
Engle Subdivision – Engineer Bulger stated that this is only a review letter and it should be at the next Township meeting that will be held on December 15, 2012.
It was also reported that Oldtown Village will be at the same meeting that they have to do some line adjustments.
Other New Business: Randy Isenberg of the Geeseytown Fire Company reported on the following:
Due to the death of 2 members, Tom Luther and Donna Doyle the compensative plan as well as the budget was not ready for this meeting and should be done by January.
Election of officers is being held on and the report will be forth coming.
They are applying for a number of State and Federal Grants. Geeseytown, Lakemont and Hollidaysburg entered into a cooperative Grant and received $3,000.00 additional for gloves.
Gary Deens annual Thanksgiving Day Dinner was held with approx 700 people in attendance.
Executive session will be held following the meeting.
Supervisor Grove stated that there are plans to purchase a multi use camera for the sewer as well as the storm water use, at the cost of approx. $44,000.00 under the Co-Star program.
A motion was made by James Grove and 2nd by George Henry to adjourn the meeting at 7:20 PM and retire to Executive Session for personnel.

A special advertised meeting was held on December 15, 2011 at 3:00 PM at the Municipal Office, was called to order and opened with the Pledge of Allegiance.
Budget Adoption – A motion was made by George Henry and 2nd by James Grove to adopt the 2012 Budget as presented with no Tax Assessed. The motion passed unanimously.
Reenact ½% Real Estate Transfer Tax. A motion was made by George Henry and 2nd by James Grove to reenact the ½% Real Estate Transfer Tax. The motion passed unanimously.
Guwain Engle Subdivision Based on Engineer Bulger’s recommendation and
subject to Solicitor Gieg’s review of the deeds and sewer easements, based on the recommendation a motion was made by James Grove and 2nd by George Henry to approve the Engle Subdivision located off Reservoir Road, subject to Solicitor Gieg’s
review. The motion passed unanimously.
Oldtown Village Subdivision – two of the lots were subdivided and so they could be sold and merged Ricahard and Suzanne Lascoli 16ft. to move their driveway encroachment. Based on Engineer Bulger recommendation and subject to Solicitor Gieg’s review and to make sure all easements are done, a motion was made by James Grove and 2nd by George Henry to approve the Lema Corp Subdivision located within Oldtown Village subject to Solicitor Gieg review. The motion passed unanimously.
With no other business to be brought before the Board of Supervisors they retired into an Executive Session concerning Personnel.
The special meeting adjourned at 3:20 PM with a motion by James Grove and 2nd by George Henry. The motion passed unanimously.
